FAQs

How should I price my items?

We recommend pricing at 25% of retail value for clothing and 30% of retail value for toys & baby equipment. The minimum price accepted for an item is $3. Please remember you will be receiving 70% of the sale price.

Can I bring my children/strollers to the sale?

YES!! As fellow moms, we know how hard it is to find a sitter. We do recommend bringing husbands/mothers etc. to help you shop though!

Can I use wire hangers?

No, we only accept plastic hangers. Child-size plastic hangers are best for children's clothes and adult plastic hangers for larger items. When looking at the front of the garment, all items should be hung with the hangers facing left, like a question mark.

How do I secure small pieces to toys and equipment?

Items should be grouped together appropriately and placed in a Ziploc bag and sealed with clear packing tape. Safety pin a string tag to the Ziploc bag and write your consignor id and price with a Sharpie on the outside of the bag.

Do you provide bags or carts for shoppers?

We will have a limited amount of large reusable bags for you to use, but recommend bringing your own or a laundry basket to carry your items in.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept debit cards, credit cards or CASH!!

Do you carry only children's clothing?

No, we carry furniture, maternity clothing, boys/girls sizes infant thru size 16, toys, bedding, shoes, books or anything else to do with kids!

Do I get my hangers back after the sale?

When you come to pick up your items after the sale, you are welcome to take home the same amount of hangers you brought to the sale.

If I chose to donate my unsold items, where do they go?

Two Little Hens has partnered with local charity partners to donate all unsold items.

How can I shop early?

Become a consignor or volunteer your time to help us market or work the sale! There are so many ways to shop early! Contact us at info@twolittlehens.com for more information. Or visit our volunteer page for more details.

Is there a limit on the number of items you accept?

We do require a minimum of 25 items for consignors to receive a pre-sale shopping pass, but no limits on items! SELL, SELL, SELL!

Is there a fee to participate?

While there is no admission fee to shop, Two Little Hens does charge a flat, $10 participation fee to all consignors selling merchandise. The $10 fee will be deducted from total earnings at the end of the sale.

Do you only accept seasonal items?

We know that Missouri weather is unpredictable so t-shirts are always accepted, but please no shorts or swimwear at the fall/winter sale and vice versa!
